I have information on a Jarrett L. T. Gamblin (b. abt 1844 in GA) who wasson of James H. Gamblin (b. c. 1819 in SC or GA) and first wife, Verilla.Verilla may have died since James H. Gamblin married Harriet Tweedle inMontgomery Co. AR in 1866.

James H. Gamblin was son of Sion Gamblin (b. c. 1777 in Chatham Co. NC)and wife, Peggy. Sion Gamblin, who was raised in in Union Co. SC ornearby, and wife Peggy relocated to Georgia.
Sion Gamblin was the son of William B. Gamblin (b. 24 Jul 1727 in BristolParish, St. George Co., Virginia. His wife was Susannah Cole (b. 6 Jan1734/35 in Virginia; buried in Hicks Co. TN).
William B. Gamblin was son of William Gamblin (b. Bef 1712) and wife,Mary Givan.
William Gamblin was son of William Gamblin (b. Bef 1689).
This info (some backed up by census research) comes from a book writtenabout our Southern Gamblin/Gambling family, which was written by AlbertDarden Smith and sister, Emily Smith. The book is out of print.
