    • Added cropped clipping from Bryan Daily Eagle from 16 Nov 1916. The clipping refers to him as Prof John Barnett Jr., which hints that he may not have been a principle yet. It is also in a section title "Prospect News" which may indicate news in Prospect TX (in East Texas between Longview and Texarkana). I'm pretty sure this is referring to the correct Barnett, since it said he recently visited relatives in Steep Hollow, which is indeed where his family lived at the time.

Another article announcing their wedding indicates that Bessie was from the "Prospect community". I could not find a Prospect town within 300 miles of Steep Hollow, but did note that there is currently a road called Prospect Lane about 2-3 miles north of Steep Hollow. I am assuming that the name may have come from a small community that existed near there at the time and that's where Bessie was from.

Examine tax records to see if where he lived in 1916
Benjamin Gordon Bond, Bessie's father lived 1910-1920 in Justice TX according to census (Justice county?)
